mmm riding
Was out on the mountain bike 3 times this past week. I must say that carbon rush team replica is damn amazing. The fork is a modern marvel at 2.7 lbs and stiff as hell. Like ive been telling people who come out and ride the bikes, i refer to 2 other forks in approximately the same travel range about riding them and how scary the first was 120 mm of travel, and 28.6mm stanctions not to mention 4 different airchambers and knobs all over the place i mean seriously. the second was a major improvement but needed additional tuning in being more stiff in its travel initially.
But this lefty 110sl is remarkable, Let me start by saying i dont use lockouts, i dont use travel reducers, i dont use propedal. i set it and forget it just like the rotiseree sold by Ronco. any time i like predictable shocks, turning on a travel reducer or lockout, makes the fork behave differently and if you forget Endo time. I am really impressed with the torsional stiffness of the fork, something fork #2 said didnt matter, and something that the lefty does not exibit at all or in any other plane for that matter. I think we need better marketing, i worked at a dealer for years and never got on one and that was a big mistake.
any way im in athens, GA till tomorrow so im gonna see whats going on tonight, im right down the street from downtown. and this is a big university so hopefully it will be fun. well see.
i did forget to mention the fact that i ran over a squirrel a few weeks ago on the system six. headed for the front wheel and glanced off that, then went under the rear tire, i had most of my weight forward so i dont think he died right away, he wasnt in the road when i looked back either. so here's to you buddy!
and about the good fight check this out

sadly it takes me way to long to write stuff down

So lets see here... ive ment to write something on more then one occasion but have not been able to find the time. I guess we will go in reverse chronological order to make my head not hurt.
first today 3/10/2007 i thought i had to turn my clock forward an hour, woke up, checked the real time, went back to bed for said hour. went to work at a shop in georgia
this is for stoney, and what did i see waiving at me when i pulled up? a little person. yes a little person working at a bike shop, not only that a hard working little person. Setting up tents by himself and making me feel inadequate. he had a hard time getting in the truck though. any way so now i am sitting in a parking lot witing for 3 o clock to roll around so i can tear down. I did get to install my PA speaker for the CB radio today, so now i can tell people whats on my mind and what i think of their going down a one way exit towards me.
yesterday 3/9/2007 i did a tech demo in the morning then went to sears, i bought a hatchet, ive wanted a hatchet for some time now, and finally have the free funds to buy one. pointless i know, but prepared i am. I also went road riding with ted's buddy after we got his motorcycle in my truck we did 36 miles on the rail trails, amazingly easy going out, then the headwind and constant grade kicked my ass. all in all a good ride.
3/7/2007 went to Macon Georgia, Home of LHThomson for a factory tour, and a demo. had 17 demos in a few hourse so that was good. Also got Thomson elite posts to replace the carbon posts on the bikes so i wouldnt have to worry as much about people crimping the posts. Also went out to lunch. a very clean factory that just so happens to make parts for boeing. good enough for boeing good enough for me.
3/4 ish visited my sister and her husband and my neice in Havana, FL. went for about a 30 mile ride that day. felt good. rode a system six. Was a good time. Also got a good pat on the back email from one of the dealers i visited. very good to hear positive stuff
thats all for now
